Time

 

This is one that we love to finish an evening on. Not speaking for Jade but, I have had a love hate relationship with a White Russian for a long time. I do love them, but I always made the rookiest of mistakes! Especially when my beautiful affixation with alcohol began somewhere back in the early 2000’s.

A few hairs past puberty, my night began like most Scottish young people my age, with the best value for money beasting can of Super Tennent’s, naturally followed by a bottle of Bucky. I’d have a few more Beers, perhaps a couple of Gin & Tonic’s if we were feeling flush. Then, usually around this point I’d get the hankering for that Big Sexy White Russian! As the night progressed, we’d continue on with some Prosecco, even a couple of Rum’s if we could manage it. However, practically each night I drank, the huge mistake I had made earlier became very apparent.

What was it you ask? Well, it took me quite a while to figure this one out. Back then I had the looks but perhaps not the brains to go with it. No, its wasn't Scotland’s finest Beer or Fortified Wine, nor was it the mixing of drinks. It was the order! Imagine how different life would have been had I known you don’t fucking drink a White Russian in the middle of the night!! I reckon it could of saved at least 10 spew’y curdled nonsense ladled across George Street and further a’far.

It’s like Milk and Cookies! Always save it for the end of the night, even better just before bed. Now, a smidgen more respectful, we like to have one instead of dessert. What a classic!

Hey!

So, you’re considering making our version of a White Russian - Do it!! This beauty is everything you want in a creamy cocktail. The best naughty milkshake!

Creamy frothy goodness, with a little hint of coffee, a good kick of vodka and the tastiest blessing from the Rum God’s of spicy vanilla molasses. Of course, you can’t top this beast off with anything other than chocolate.

You can thank us later! Well after you’ve forgotten the hangover :)

Equipment…

>Blender
>Grater
>Coffee Machine

The Recipe

Stage #1
>The Prep

100ml Kraken Spiced Rum
75ml Absolut Vodka
100ml Mr. Black Coffee Liquor
25ml Baileys

200ml Full Fat Jersey Milk
50ml Freshly Brewed Espresso
50ml Double Cream
150g Vanilla Ice Cream
1 Vanilla Pod (Scraped)
150g Ice

1 Bar of your favourite
Milk Chocolate

Stage #2
>Assemble

 

blend \ rocks glass

  • Pop all your ingredients into a Blender, except for the Milk Chocolate, and blitz for 30 seconds.

  • Pour into a big sexy Rocks Glass. Serve the left overs on the side or save it for top ups.

  • Garnish with some grated Milk Chocolate over half of each of your drinks (Use a bit of card to get a precise line).

  • Using a knife cut a chunky triangle of Chocolate off the bar and balance it on top next to a Paper Straw.
